Reporting to the Manager of Support Services. The Laundry Linen / Washperson supports the delivery and processing of laundry services.

Key responsibilities include processing clean linens, rotating through laundry/linen stations, sorting and washing of the soiled linens using a variety of linen machinery, delivery and pick up of linens to our rural sites.

Qualifications / Skills / Abilities:

Required

Successful Completion of Secondary School Diploma
Valid Class G driver's license
Clean drivers abstract
Experience operating 5 ton truck with lift gate
Knowledge of and experience in performing safety checks and maintaining driving log records
Ability to carry out correct lifting and carrying techniques of items weighing up to 50 lbs (to be tested)
Ability to perform the Physical Demands of the Position
Ability to work in a team environment without close supervision
Ability to work all shifts ( days, evenings and weekends)
Ability to handle exposure to infection, noise, odors and work interruptions
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Recent satisfactory performance and attendance record
