Lead Medical Office Assistant


Canadian Pain & Regenerative Institute is a multi-disciplinary orthopedics, regenerative medicine, spine, and chronic pain clinic in the heart of Vancouver, BC.

The clinic offers interventional pain procedures, physical therapy, psychology, and medication management for patients in pain.

All physician consults and most interventional pain procedures are covered under the medical services plan. We also have a team of allied health professionals such as physiotherapists, counsellors, chiropractors and kinesiologists. Our allied health services are paid privately and not covered by the medical services plan.


We are looking to hire an energetic and vibrant Lead Medical Office Assistant who can work with our enthusiastic teams at both locations to provide optimal an optimal care experience for patients.

Start Date:

Location: 233 Nelson's Crescent, New Westminster, sometimes needed in Vancouver location with hybrid options after probationary period.


Salary:
$24+ depending on level of experience


Key Qualifications:


  • Strong people skills
  • Very professional demeanor
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, schedule, and prioritize work
  • Ability to work under pressure and problem solve.
  • Knowledge of BC healthcare system & MSP (asset)
  • Knowledge of Private Insurances, ICBC & WSBC (asset)
  • Knowledge of Allied Health Operations (asset)
  • Proficient in English (verbal and written)

Experience:


  • Prior team lead or medical office assistant experience (3+ years)
  • Experience with Jane App and Input Health is an asset
  • Prior private insurance billing experience is an asset
  • Prior accounting knowledge is an asset
  • Prior clinic management knowledge is an asset
  • Prior management or leadership experience is an asset

Responsibilities:


  • Assisting in general medical administrative duties like calling and scheduling/coordinating appointments for patients in a timely manner, registering patients on arrival, answering phones, organizing patient referrals, general cleaning & tidying of clinic
  • Being the liaison between patients, doctors, and staff
  • Clinic inventory management, stocking and ordering for both office supplies and allied health supplies
  • Help plan and organize internal company events
  • Identify, compile, design and send out companywide announcement documents and correspondences
  • Accounts Receivable Audits and Processing
  • Provider Monthly Invoice Processing
  • Ensuring provider's documentation and licensing is up to date and current on file.
  • Registering new providers to the proper thirdparty portals for direct billing.
  • Communication and correspondence with providers for scheduling adjustments, billing, administrative and operational support.

Job Type:


Our clinics are open Monday - Friday with the opportunity for some remote work after the probationary period has been passed.

From $24.00 per hour
