Position Overview


Reporting to the Operations / General Manager, the Project Supervisor is a field position that monitors, oversees and works with crews on site, for the successful completion of daily assignments.

This role works in collaboration with the Project Manager, Project Manager

Assistant, Dispatcher and Production Manager and will oversee the scheduling of staff and sub-trades. This position's primary responsibility is to ensure effectiveness within in the crew by providing leadership in all functions, while adhering to all

Belfor policies and procedures. This role acts as the main contact for all field employees involved in the project.


Job Duties

  • Oversees and facilitates the day today reporting of assigned projects; follows up with and reports to the Project Manager
ensuring appropriate decisions are made

Assists with the collection of project details and information; organization, scheduling, and planning of projects Responsible to coordinate manpower required on site, organizing, scheduling, and planning for all employees involved with

assigned projects

Schedule trades and suppliers for projects Contributes to short-term and long-term planning for project completion Support Project Managers and supervise the field employees Responsible for submitting project paperwork on a daily basis Responsible to ensure all field staff enter their time consumables accurately Supervise, review and revise dispatcher scheduling, if required Analyze daily production, quality control and completion of projects as per schedule Participate in on-call rotation as required Follow all internal policies and procedures in association with varying protocols for restoration work Provide excellent customer service Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines Ensure attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding other people's property and information Will practice good housekeeping at all times to ensure a safe and non-cluttered worksite Participates in and demonstrates an understanding of safety principles and practices;follows all safety policies and procedures

to support a safe working environment, including safe operation of machines and equipment

Comply with all

Belfor policies and procedures, as well as legislative requirements Attend all

Responsibilities

motivating employees.

of all employees and subcontractors with local laws and

accuracy and documentation.


Communication:
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with our staff and customers, both verbal and written.

Leadership:
Ability to delegate, set expectations, and monitor progress of all direct reports.

Time Management:
Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment.


Qualifications
Skilled trade journeyman Post secondary courses in project or construction management an asset IICRC certifications an asset 3+ years Construction / Restoration / Insurance experience preferred 1+ years' experience in a leadership role Experience and knowledge of provincial health and safety standards and WCB compliance Comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles and practices Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per

Belfor's vehicle policy Ability to work within a team or independently as needed Strong written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment Basic computer and/or tablet/iPad experience with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, Google Suite, JD Edwards

and Docusphere

Willing to work evenings, on call and weekends when requested Periodic travel may be required Criminal Record Check


Physical Demands
Frequent lifting from 5-40 lbs., unassisted (from 35-65% of the time) Occasional lifting from 41 lbs. +, assisted (up to 50% of the time) Access and mobility in tight spaces Fit Testing - half and full face mask as needed, annual certification required Working at Heights - over 5 feet, periodically Sustained periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and kneeling
