    Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team We currently have an opportunity for a full time Specialist, Professional Affairs to join our National Pharmacy Team based out of our office(s) in Dartmouth - NS or Calgary - AB. As a valued team member working in a hybrid environment you will be required to be on site either in office a minimum of three (3) days per week.

    Here's where you'll be focusing:


    As a member of the National Pharmacy Team, you will support quality and professional affairs- for example, patient safety, privacy adherence, pharmacy policy & procedure, regulatory compliance, advocacy, and professional development. You will work in a highly collaborative environment, developing relationships and partnering with peers, managers and Directors across the company to deliver goals in a fast-paced environment.

    · Liaise and collaborate with operations and the pharmacy services/programs team to identify learning, development, and policy needs to support priorities and objectives.

    · Manage and track intake requests and team-identified needs for prioritization and execution.

    · Coordinate, track, evaluate, and update education and training programs for pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians and other staff to support strategic priorities.

    · Support the use and understanding of tools and programs in place to meet corporate and regulatory standards, including but not limited to audit programs and QRE reporting.

    · Assist in reviewing data analytics and data visualization to create operational intelligence, identify trends, and areas of opportunity.

    · Support pharmacy policy and procedure library maintenance and revisions.

    · Support policy and procedure development, implementation, communication and comprehension.

    · Support privacy auditing and education.

    · Support Pharmacy Appreciation Month planning, communication and deliverables, and evaluation.

    · Ad hoc support of other quality and professional services.

    · Minimum High school diploma, post-secondary preferred

    · Pharmacy Technician or Assistant experience preferred

    · Kroll experience/knowledge

    · Experience with professional development, policy development, or regulatory work preferred

    · Understanding of pharmacist and pharmacy technician scope and/or general knowledge of pharmacy regulations and operations

    · Administration skills such as planning and organizing and the ability to set priorities and coordinate work activities

    · Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel

    · Knowledge/experience with data analysis and/or data visualization (eg, Tableau) preferred

    · SharePoint experience preferred

    · Comfortable taking on new challenges

    · Ability/willingness to travel (approx. 10%)
