Assists the Warehouse Manager with supervising, training, motivating, coaching and monitoring the performance of the warehouse team

Works with the Warehouse Manager and warehouse staff in daily activities
Works closely with the Shipping/Receiving team to ensure all orders are entered into company software, and all outbounds are fulfilled the same day
Assists with building opening, close down procedures and building security (setting alarms and security contact). Ensures the front entrance and shipping docks and all roll up doors are clear of debris, snow and ice
Ensures all orders and returns are picked, loaded, tied down, and shipped properly ensuring productivity standards and shipping timelines are achieved
Coordinates the cleaning of the warehouse, shipping doors and docking area. Monitors cardboard, steel, recycling and garbage
Investigates and responds to employee requests, complaints and/or issues in a timely fashion ensuring optimum employee satisfaction
Maintains warehouse storage and monitors space daily and creates space for new and expanding product lines
Enforces job procedures and company policies and procedures; continuously improves work processes
Assists with administrative duties such as prereceiving, data entry, preparing pick lists and outbound BOL's
Works with the Joint Health & Safety Committee to continue the Warehouse Teams excellent health and safety record
Other general duties, as assigned
