Controller
Kindret Landscaping Group is one of the largest landscape firms in the Winnipeg area.

Due to our current growth and planning for future expansion, we are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join our team full-time as our Controller.


The Controller's responsibilities include:

Oversee the timely completion and accurate reporting of all aspects of full-cycle accounting.

Assist in effective planning, organization, and direction in achieving company goals, and directing, coordinating, and supervising operations and activities within the Accounting department.

Overseeing the preparation of departmental budgets and forecasts along with financial variance analysis. Directing, coordinating, and supervising operations and activities with department staff. This includes conducting quarterly performance reviews, evaluating against goals and objectives, and recommending areas for development

Actively monitor and analyze financial results. Provide analysis of unusual results to management.

As a part of a team, responsible for the development and coordination of accurate, timely recording & reporting of individual project costing and budget control

Provide timely, accurate unaudited and / or audited financial statements to various financial institutions.

Ensure the ongoing development, maintenance and improvement of accounting systems, controls, and procedures.


Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Quickbooks accounting software system including establishing and maintaining adequate internal controls and operating procedures as required.

Coordinate completion of other reporting requirements for government compliance purposes.

Review and report on future business growth and expansion opportunities

A professional accounting designation (CPA) is preferred.

Three plus years of experience in a supervisory or management role. Experience in construction/contracting considered an asset but not required.

Extensive experience with Quickbooks accounting systems, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel.


Excellent written and verbal communication skills, highly organized, and able to work independently or as a part of a team.
