We have a temporary opportunity for an Operator II Print and Mail Services at our Corporate Head Office, 151 West Esplanade in North Vancouver.
Working as an Operator II you will be responsible for operating production printing and letter inserting equipment, acquiring the necessary stock and supplies to run print jobs and bundling finished products.
Using your print expertise, you will:Choose the best output device for printing
Perform bindery service
Accurately record and document volume of printed and inserted letters.
This position is scheduled shift work, and you will alternate between the following shifts every 4 weeks:
Monday to Friday from 5:45am to 1:45pm
Monday to Friday from 11am -7pm
Initial (paid) training will be provided from 8:30am to 4:30pm for the first 3-5 business days before reverting to the above shift.
An understanding of desktop printingAn understanding of printing using QDirect or similar printing queue software would be considered an asset.
An understanding of creating digital files for output to large-scale laser printers
An understanding of Excel for recording of printed & inserted letters would be beneficial
An understanding of printing reports and form letters for mailing
Previous experience working in a fast paced, quality oriented manufacturing/production environment
A post-secondary education that helps support your years of experience in a large volume printing operation
The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills and enjoys working in a close-knit team environment, as you will be joining a small but integral department within ICBC.

Resident - you will work at your primary in-office headquarters on all scheduled workdays.Hybrid - you will work a minimum of 8 days per month at your primary in-office headquarters (typically 2 days per week).
The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.Hybrid 10 - you will work a minimum of 10 days per month at your primary in-office headquarters (typically one week in/one week out or up to 3 days per week).
The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.Mobile - you will work remotely or in the field on scheduled workdays within British Columbia, with the requirement to be at your primary on-site headquarters by exception only.
