Position Summary:
- Provide treatment for a group of assigned clients
- Assume primary responsibility for developing, implementing and evaluating the overall treatment goals for clients
- Provide individual supportive therapy and symptom management
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments
- Provide psychoeducation and support to clients' family members
- Advocate for clients' rights and preferences
- Consult with community agencies and families to maintain coordination in the treatment process
- Provide on call crisis intervention during evenings and weekends
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or Community College degree in a health related discipline
- Registration with a recognized college
- Minimum of 3 years of postgraduate experience in Mental Health; preferably in the community and hospital setting
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Positive work and attendance record
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Excellent collaboration skills with patients, families and other healthcare professionals
- Exceptional problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
- Valid driver's license, relevant insurance and use of own vehicle is required
