Position Summary:


  • Provide treatment for a group of assigned clients
  • Assume primary responsibility for developing, implementing and evaluating the overall treatment goals for clients
  • Provide individual supportive therapy and symptom management
  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments
  • Provide psychoeducation and support to clients' family members
  • Advocate for clients' rights and preferences
  • Consult with community agencies and families to maintain coordination in the treatment process
  • Provide on call crisis intervention during evenings and weekends

Key Qualifications:


  • Bachelors Degree or Community College degree in a health related discipline
  • Registration with a recognized college
  • Minimum of 3 years of postgraduate experience in Mental Health; preferably in the community and hospital setting
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Positive work and attendance record
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent collaboration skills with patients, families and other healthcare professionals
  • Exceptional problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
  • Valid driver's license, relevant insurance and use of own vehicle is required
