Forklift Driver

Status:
Full-Time

Position Purpose:

To help us reach our goals we are looking for energetic, motivated individuals to join our team in Truro, NS in the role of a Forklift Driver.

This is an expected full-time position that may have adjusted hours due to operational requirements.

Principle Accountabilities

Essential Skills and Experience

Current Forklift License is required.
Ability to work 12hour shifts.
High school is required to ensure ability to read (plant orders, production schedules) and write (record keeping, paperwork).
Math skills are also required when dealing with the large quantity of goods used and produced in the plant.
Additional qualifications include First Aid, CPR, Forklift Operator Training and Dangerous Goods Training.
Approximately 1 to 3 months of onthejob learning time is required to learn the different components of the job (i.e., how to operate forklift, how to best organize the floor, what materials are used by which machines).
