Here's a highly challenging, purposeful position as VICE PRESIDENT, FINANCE to drive both Alvéole's strategic growth and financial excellence, and biodiversity in cities worldwide.


As Alvéole's
VICE PRESIDENT, FINANCE, you will play a crucial role in shaping our financial strategy internationally, ensuring the organization's financial health, and driving sustainable growth.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead a high-performing finance team, collaborating with cross-functional executives to provide strategic financial insights and support.

Your leadership will be instrumental in making data-driven decisions, optimizing financial processes, and implementing best practices to secure our financial position in the niche, ever-evolving urban biodiversity ecosystem.


What will you '_bee_' accountable for?

  • Leading and executing ontime and accurate financial reporting.
  • Proactively and successfully putting dashboards together that report important KPIs such as LTV, CaaC, and others vital to the ARR model to ensure that the entire organization is measuring the right things to drive growth.
  • Providing realtime snapshots of financial data across departments, cities, and business lines.
  • Achieving the success metrics that allow for strong business valuation.
  • Creating and then executing a strategy to ensure a strong cash runway position.
  • Leading, coaching, and inspiring a team of A performers to ensure high performance and achievement of team goals.
  • Regularly communicating the story behind the numbers so all stakeholders understand the state of the organization clearly.

What skills do you need to succeed in that role?

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Strategic ability to translate the company's vision into a longterm financial strategy.
  • Business intelligence to identify financial trends that no one else sees.
  • Solid experience working in highgrowth organizations.
  • Strong risk assessment perspective, to repeatedly balance growth and risk.
  • Credible approach to relationships across all stakeholders, including banking institutions, board members, and investors.
  • Highly analytical capabilities to leverage data to identify problems and opportunities.
  • Transformational and visionary leadership skills that lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication, and motivate staff at all levels.
  • Executionfocused, adaptable, and highly accountable management style.
  • Spotless, selfaware professional with high emotional intelligence that creates and energizes positive change.

What challenges are you expected to face?

  • Accountability for all financial operations in the US, Europe and Canada.
  • International expansion projects in EMEA and APAC over the next 24 months.
  • Implementation of a new accounting system across all entities.
  • Process improvement and business intelligence strategy across the organization.
  • Lead multimillion dollar financing projects, mergers and acquisitions, and other large financial projects for the growth of the company.
  • Refining the budgeting process and establishing the FP&A function.

What's a day in the hive like in your position?

  • Leading daily huddles with your Finance and Accounting team of 45 professionals.
  • Working inperson out of the Montréal office a few days per week (flexible) to collaborate with your team and the executive team.
  • Working with every team in the company.
  • Building priorities for the Controller and their team.
  • Joining the statutory daily management huddle with the executive team.
  • Working closely with the CEO on the financial strategy, financing, board decks, key business metrics and larger transactions.
  • Presenting accurate data such as forecasts and pipeline projections to the Board of Directors, and accurately answering questions on business performance.
