Department Overview

  • Responsible for leading the insights required for wealth LOBs to support firm Product Due Diligence and advisor Know Your Product requirements leveraging securities data to deliver timely and actionable insights on investment product trends. Areas of focus include but are not limited to OM Concentration, Liquid Alternatives, new and emerging securities (i.e., crypto, cannabis), products with special features (i.e., structured products, SPACs), cash and cash equivalents.
  • Lead a team of Analysts responsible for developing timely and relevant analysis and on demand reporting to support product due diligence and investment risk management efforts around the investment product shelf. Provide supervision and leadership, clarify ambiguity, prioritize initiatives and develop a collaborative environment within the team.
  • Collaborate with the Wealth Analytics and Reporting team to support the production and enhancement of regular and adhoc reports, analysis, and insights to support the investment management research and shelf management functions.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the databases and systems landscape at TD Wealth and support the optimization of data extraction/validation processes. Improve data quality controls and process efficiency to enhance analytic capabilities.
  • Actively participate in various workstreams with internal partners to understand business objectives, required KPIs and translate them into data collection and data analysis strategies
  • Proactively research market, industry and investment trends, and regulatory changes to support various product management initiatives and identify sources of product investment risk
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, relationship management and communication skills

Job Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Postsecondary degree majoring in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Quantitative Analysis, Statistics, Data Analytics or a related field
  • Strong statistical/analytics skills & knowledge of investment management
  • Experience with Alteryx and/or SQL programming
  • Excellent verbal & written communication, with a proven ability to lead teams
  • CFA Designation preferred but not required
