Your role on our team: The Property Manager is responsible for contributing to best-in-class customer experience by managing the maintenance team and our external contractors, in the performance of their duties in the most cost-effective manner. The Property Manager also oversees the team responsible for delivery of a best-in-class customer experience as it relates to administering the tenancy relationship.

In this role, you will:


  • Builds an effective team based on Minto core values of courage, partnership, innovation and accomplishment
  • Establishes and manages to targets for accounts receivable, monitors the delinquency report and takes action in accordance with the applicable legislation;
  • Responds to escalated resident concerns and inquiries promptly and courteously;
  • Participates and develops proactive customer experience program which includes resident outreach through appreciate events and other endeavors.
  • Ensures the renewal process is completed in accordance with the guidelines from the revenue management team and the applicable legislation;
  • Identifies opportunities for improvements in efficiency, cost effectiveness and customer experience;
  • Responsible for various aspect of financial management including development of operating budget, financial monitoring and reporting, forecasting and strategic planning;
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; benchmarking professional standards; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks;
  • Communicates objectives and goals to staff by outlining job expectations, planning, monitoring, and coaching;
  • Establishes and manages to targets for accounts receivable, monitors the delinquency report and takes action in accordance with the applicable legislation;
  • Responds to escalated resident concerns and inquiries promptly and courteously;
  • Processes and approves necessary incident reports, invoices, and administrative service requests;
  • Reviews and approves mass and individual resident communication;
  • Perform all facets of the job in accordance with the legislation applicable to the jurisdiction, including: Residential Tenancy Act, Health and Safety standards, WHMIS, AODA, PIPEDA and Human Rights;
All other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as requested by management


Who we're looking for:

*Education**: A college diploma (or university degree), preferably in business administration or equivalent experience in a service industry or a trade certificate or college diploma in a related field or equivalent experience is required.

Experience:

A minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience, with a minimum of two (2) years' experience managing a team.


Specialized Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:


  • Knowledge of contractual agreements
  • Knowledge of rental legislation
  • Familiarity with Yardi or an ERP system would be considered an asset
  • Customer focused communication skills (listening, verbal and written)
  • Shows initiative and demonstrates sense of ownership
