Shift:
Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 15:30 PM


Wage:
$24:50 per hour


SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the production Planner plays an integral role in production fulfilment. This role is responsible for the planning, review, and scheduling of daily production within the Production Management System. The Production Planner will schedule the production based on customer requirements.

This position will also be responsible for the weekly balance and billing of temp labor, entering and processing of PO's in the financial management system, as well as ordering supplies for the site, and other administrative tasks as assigned.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Create daily work plans to include daily demands that ensure customer orders are presented to the production team in a timely manner.
  • Directly involved with the release of production, packaging, and labeling processes.
  • Participate in the collection, reporting, and feedback to improve workflow and shipments.
  • Participate in tasks related to grouping and releasing orders using the WMS system and timely communicating progress of production.
  • Develop capacity planning scenarios from customers forecast and plan production schedule accordingly.
  • Ensures communication between Production, Operations, and customer for stock replenishment needs. Ordering all corrugated materials for production to deliver to facility through customer.
  • Ensures loads are completed by the Operations team, meeting customer demands and understanding the complete Supply Chain system.
  • Coordinates the desired delivery response times while paying close attention to the operational plan communicated daily by the Supervisor.
  • Have exceptional knowledge of Pack Manager (Nulogy
  • Production Management System) and work with the Supervisor to address any training or procedural gaps;
  • Assist where necessary in developing and training of all Pack Manager upgrades and modifications and ensures that Copack associates are made aware of any and all changes that directly affect them.
  • Cycle counting and inventory accuracy on all packaging related materials is done quarterly.
  • Weekly temp labor reporting and billing to the agencies, ensuring that we balance to what charges should be for the week.
  • Ordering supplies from vendors for warehouse and SPPK departments and ensuring timely delivery of supplies to facility.
  • PO management and entering in the financial system for all services and supplies ordered.
  • PO balancing daily and weekly in system.

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION:


  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in high volume/multiple sku's production planning; College diploma in logistics/supply chain management is preferred.
  • Previous experience with Warehouse Management Information System (WMS)
  • Relevant industry experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Pack Manager/Nulogy and Red Prairie is an asset.
  • Business & Financial Savvy
