Description

Leduc LINX Connect Centre is an agency that provides services to individuals with developmental disabilities. We are looking for a team member for our Office Assistant position. This position is 30 hrs/week from 9:00 to 4:00 with an hour unpaid break for lunch from 12:00 to 1:00, 2 weeks paid vacation, 6 paid wellness days and benefits.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Greets and directs visitors to the agency
  • Monitoring access of agency and its occupants
  • Provides clerical and administrative assistance to Executive Director and Managers
  • Occupational Health and Safety Support
  • Data entry
  • Filing, faxing, scanning or photocopying
  • Interaction with clients and staff
  • Perform several general office duties including, but not limited to; postage/shipping, filing, updating website content, and database entry and troubleshooting.
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications and Skills

  • Current Criminal Record Check
  • Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Proficiency with Computer skills in MS Office, especially Word and Excel, and the ability to learn complex software quickly
  • Excellent English communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to manage and prioritize tasks
  • Effective verbal, listening and communication skills
  • Able to work in a teamoriented, collaborative environment.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Very effective organizational and time management skills
  • Able to handle complaints and unpleasant situations.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Willingness to learn new skills to better serve the agency
