ServiceOntario's Licencing Services Branch, is seeking an organized individual to coordinate, manage and initiate the distribution of all stock items to support client transactions.

What can I expect to do in this role?: You will:

  • develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with clients
- determine the volumes and delivery dates of stock items to be delivered to clients and central stores
- review and analyze stock usage data and stock inventory to project volume of stock required
- identify opportunities to achieve cost savings and participate in the forecast of yearly stock procurement
- prepare production schedules and place orders
- maintain and file records of all requisitions and orders
- update and maintain stock databases


How do I qualify?:


Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:


  • You have proven research and analytical skills to keep abreast of changes to policies, procedures and guidelines and ensuring that all necessary changes are incorporated into standardized documentation for clients.
  • You can analyze data and develop recommendations to address client issues.
  • You can identify areas of deficiency and ensure timely and accurate placement of orders.
  • You can identify when stock items need to be reordered and respond to unexpected changes in stock requirements.

Technical Knowledge and Skills:


  • You have knowledge of procurement directives, purchasing requirements, policies and procedures to complete requisition orders and initiate procurement of stock.
  • You have knowledge of inventory control and management methodologies to maintain inventory and monitor current and future stock.

Computer and Math Skills:


  • You have exceptional computer / keyboarding skills with the ability and knowledge to input, search, and extract information from computer databases, word processing materials and excel spreadsheets.
  • You have math skills to determine quantities of inventories for procurement, adjustments to order quantities, and the allocation of the appropriate stock quantities.

Organizational Skills:


  • You have exceptional organizational, time management and administrative skills in order to administer high volumes of stock to a variety of clients to various locations throughout the province.
You can work through competing priorities based on operational needs, and legislative requirements.

  • You have the ability to identify and escalate politically sensitive issues to management in a timely manner.
  • You demonstrate judgement and diplomacy when providing information and when dealing with clients.
  • You have the proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, establish work priorities and ensure projects are completed within tight deadlines.

Communication and Leadership skills:


  • You have well developed writing skills in order to prepare requisition documentation, prepare written recommendations, forms design materials etc.
  • You have leadership skills to train colleagues on all aspects/functions of the position.
  • You have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • You have demonstrated oral and written communication skills to effectively and tactfully respond to and resolve client inquiries and issues.
