Position Summary


The sales and operations coordinator is responsible for obtaining work from potential clients, for maintaining work with existing customers, and ensuring that work obtained is completed to the clients high standards.

A particular focus will be had on customers/projects requiring Company equipment and/or services in the Downstream plant and Facility turnaround market.


  • This position is fulltime and is based out of our Red Deer location._

Time Commitment
5 days on, 2 days off. You may be required from time to time to work outside normal hours as the need arises. Schedule may be altered at the discretion of management.


Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following):

Potential Clients

  • Search out future/potential work in extended geographical areas (Grand Prairie/Fort McMurray regions)
  • Making contact with potential clients telephone, visit, etc.
  • Takes calls from potential clients for the request of services
  • Complete detailed quoting information for client services
  • Responsible for obtaining/confirming a list of equipment needed for new jobs
  • Conduct project specific field supervision

Existing Clients

  • Conduct follow up visits with existing clients inperson and phone contact as appropriate.
  • While visiting with existing clients get tickets signed (rentals & truck), discuss any issues/concerns, see if they require further services from the Company
  • Takes calls from existing clients for the request of services
  • Complete detailed quoting information for client services
  • Responsible for obtaining/confirming a list of equipment needed for new jobs
  • Complete detailed quoting information for client services
  • Work with Field Representatives to ensure issues related to securing customer approval of tickets are resolved in a timely manner.

Additional Responsibilities/Expectations

  • Coordinate with Downstream and Facility Manager along with additional personnel as required to ensure a high standard of customer service is consistently provided.
  • Meets daily with the supervisor to discuss current activities new/existing customers, issues/concerns, etc.
  • Responsible for properly documenting all jobs, phone calls made, contact names, etc.
  • Responsible for timely & accurate completion of expenses, mileage reports, and other requested items
  • Field tours (branches and customers) as required and/or directed by Management
  • Preparing/providing support for the preparation of bids

Required Competencies

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years previous related experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and numeracy skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, exceptional Word and Excel skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to organize and coordinate administrative tasks
  • The desire and ability to work as part of a team, or independently with little supervision when dealing with routine matters
