Responsibilities:


  • Drive the project schedule in conjunction with the project team, ensuring that completion dates and project milestones are met;
  • Create and monitor weekly 'look ahead' schedule;
  • Partner with the operations team to maintain safety and recordkeeping requirements as per provincial regulations and Inflector's Health & Safety Program;
  • Partner with the operations team and site supervisors to assess and implement risk assessments on the project site;
  • Effectively communicate with the project team and subtrades to ensure performance, productivity, quality, and safety requirements are met;
  • Advise the Project Manager on potential problems, scheduling difficulties, etc;
  • Collaborate with site supervisors, subtrades, consultants and clients regarding site issues;
  • Enforce disciplinary actions as needed;
  • Review and understand contract and subcontract documents;
  • Assist with managing site inventory;
  • Manage site administration such as waste removals, bin drops, and material delivery.

Profile Requirements:


Qualifications include:


  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Superintendent role
  • Demonstrated success supervising a working crew;
  • Experience in the Hazardous Materials Field would be considered an asset;
  • Understanding of project schedules and ability to meet deadlines;
  • Knowledge of provincial safety regulations;
  • Ability to lead and run effective site meetings with various personnel (internal field crew, subtrades, consultants, etc.);
  • Demonstrated conflictresolution skills, problemsolving abilities, and professional judgement;
  • Excellent organization and time management skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook);
  • Enthusiastic team player with a 'can do' attitude.

Physical Requirements:

Dynamic Work Setting: Offers a mix of field and office environment (on-site office); involves approximately 50% field work and 50% office work.

Physical Capability: Must be physically capable of navigating job sites for inspections, investigations, and audits. Also, must be fit and able to wear respiratory protection equipment, including various types of full and half face respirators.

Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license.

Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain Secret Level Security Clearance.

Hazardous Materials: Required to enter and examine active abatement areas containing Asbestos, Lead, Silica, Mold, etc.


Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months


Pay:
$90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
