Summary of position:

Héroux Devtek is seeking a Field Service Representative for its Product Support Organization in St-Hubert.

The person selected will provide first line support to Héroux Devtek customers in order to restore Landing Gear to an airworthy condition, in a timely manner.


Main responsibilities:


  • Perform Technical analysis and Repairs on aircraft on Heroux Devtek Landing Gears, at OEM or at Operators facilities.
  • Provide Remote Technical Support (trouble shooting) to OEM or Operators, including written work instructions and request for inspections to assess a technical issue.
  • Work within the scope of approval, procedures and mandates issued by Heroux Devtek quality organisation (Quality, Technical, Safety and Environmental).
  • Identify and report airworthiness issues in line with Heroux Devtek quality system requirements.
  • Accomplish assigned tasks in line with TC/FAA/EASA and any other airworthiness regulation as applicable.
  • Complete all documentation in a timely, accurate and comprehensive manner.
  • Perform incoming quality inspections of parts on warehouse, as required.
  • On Call availability for remote support services after business hours.
  • Carry out any other reasonable request & improvement recommendations for the benefit of the business.

Qualifications:


Requirements:


  • Technician degree or Engineering degree preferably in the fields of Aerospace Maintenance and Overhaul with at least 2 years of practical experience in a similar role with client interface.
  • Knowledge of Landing Gears maintenance and Overhaul strongly recommended.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of aerospace original equipment assembly, maintenance, repair and overhaul and conversant with original equipment design drawings and test schedules, Component Maintenance Manuals, Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins, Repair Schemes and Concessions.
  • A valid passport, a valid driver's license and a car.
  • The ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the French and English language.
  • Understanding of Unit Log Cards, requirements management, MRB data and Life Limited Parts concept.
  • Computer literate. Ability to access software on or off site to complete tasks and produce Certificates of Release, Form 1 and Visit Reports.
  • Availability to travel anywhere in the world within short notice, during or outside normal business hours, as required by the business.
