Job description

Ongoing Tuesday client 3pm to 8pm in the Toronto area

Right at Home is looking for an experienced, professional caregiver in the Toronto area, wanting to support of our long-term client.

We are looking for a caregiver available specifically on Tuesdays from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Prior experience caring for clients with Alzheimer's and those with mobility challenges is highly appreciated.

Responsibilities and Duties may be**:

Provide companionship and social stimulation
Initiate and promote physical activity at any level
Plans, prepares, and serves meals, as needed
Prompt client to do his/her own personal care and assist with personal care if experienced
Performs housekeeping duties such as sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming, dusting, washing dishes, and laundry
Accompanies clients on outings such as doctor appointments or activities for mental and physical stimulation.

What we need from you:

PSW or equivalent: Internationally trained nurse, retired nurse, DSW, SSW, others.
Has a good sense of humor
Clear Criminal Background Check including Vulnerable Sector (We will require a copy of your Criminal Record Check)
Current certification in Standard First Aid and CPR
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
