Description

We are seeking a reliable, responsible, and experienced Childcare Provider to join our team on a casual on-call basis.

As a Childcare Provider, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care for children ranging from infants to school-aged children in the absence of their parents or guardians at different locations.

Your duties will include ensuring their safety, engaging them in age-appropriate activites, preparing snacks and meals, and following any specific instructions.

Responsibilities:

Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the absence of their parents or guardians
Engage children in ageappropriate activities, such as games, crafts, and educational activities
Prepare snacks and meals for children as needed
Follow any specific instructions provided by parents or guardians, routines, dietary restrictions, and medication administration
Monitor children's behavior and intervene when necessary to ensure their safety and wellbeing
Clean up after children's activities and ensure location is left tidy
Communicate with parents or guardians about any issues or concerns that arise during your care

Requirements:

18 years or older
Minimum of 2years experience working with children in a professional or personal setting
Relevant post secondary eduation (i.e. Child and Youth Workers, PSW, ECE, and ECA)
Valid CPR and First Aid certification
Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check
Strong communication skills and ability to interact with children in a positive and nurturing manner
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Reliable transportation to and from the job location
