We are currently searching for a

Third Cook to join our team. This is a

full-time shift position at our

Leduc location. Our Leduc facility is only a short commute from the following South Edmonton neighbourhoods

Allard (20km) - 18 minutes

Chappelle (22km) - 19 minutes

Summerside & Ellerslie (23km) - 20 minutes

Twin Brooks (24km) - 21 minutes


Position Summary:

The Third Cook is responsible for the preparation of high-quality food in a timely, efficient, sanitary and consistent manner.

The Third Cook must be prepared to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment, while maintaining the organizational ability to identify and act on job duties quickly and effectively.

Third Cook must be prepared to work as a team member in a dynamic workplace, follow all safety procedures, and have a high threshold for heat in a kitchen environment.

What You Bring to the Role:

  • One (1) year experience working in a similar setting required.
  • Basic Food Safety required.
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, WHMIS, Food Safety
  • Familiar with use of kitchen equipment and hand tools
  • Possess proper knife skills
  • Ability to follow recipes
  • Ability to Prep food items according to production lists and menu requirements.
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Professional appearance and manners.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

Your Responsibilities:


  • Prepares food within menu guidelines.
  • Prepares and plates cold foods such as fruits, vegetables, sandwiches, desserts and salads.
  • Use of the Rational Oven for food preparation.
  • Ensures that the safety, sanitation, order and appearance of the kitchen is in compliance with all standards directed by regulatory agencies.
  • Assists the Head chef / First Cook and cooks in preparation and serving banquets, brunches, meetings and other special events.
  • Assists with washing dishes and taking out garbage in the absence of General Kitchen Helpers.
  • Assist with the delivery of resident meals.
  • Stay productive and prepared for future needs as time allows.
  • Assist with receiving and putting away incoming food orders.
