About the role

:


As a member of the Marketing Team the Product Manager is responsible for leading and implementing the Marketing initiatives in driving portfolio management and launch excellence for the Ostomy Care franchise.

This proven, results-oriented marketing leader will have exceptional marketing experience as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.

A successful bilingual incumbent will have extensive marketing expertise in managing very large product portfolios in Ostomy Care, executing marketing initiatives, pricing strategies, promotion plans and campaigns, advertising, product positioning, operationalizing processes, strategies for consumers, retailers and HCPs.

The role is designed to work directly with the Canadian marketing team, sales team, global marketing teams, internal and external stakeholders and have significant interaction with key opinion leaders and customers.


Your key duties and responsibilities

:


  • Develop, define, and implement the marketing strategy for Canada including packaging the product portfolio, brand strategy and product collateral in order to achieve accelerated sales growth.
  • Establish and maintain a deep understanding of the Canadian market and establish productive relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in collaboration with local market needs.
  • Participate in the annual Marketing Annual Operating Plan plans for the portfolio and new brands, including forecasting.
  • Define and develop a comprehensive plan and profitable portfolio of products which continues to position Convatec as a major player in the Canadian market
  • Recommend pricing strategies to optimize the product portfolio demand and revenue growth.
  • Analyze, anticipate and identify industry and competitor trends and utilize as inputs for product and program development. Create strategies and tactics to compete against current and future competitive threats.
  • Participate in global marketing projects and product launches, conduct regional due diligence efforts on portfolio additions and develop integration strategies.
  • Work with operations teams to understand product changes and inventory levels for the growing business.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Customer Relations department to maximize franchise efforts
  • Develop and maintain effective collaborative working relationships with external suppliers and internal colleagues. This includes the routing of programs/tactics through the Commercial, Medical, Legal, Regulatory review processes, and measurements of effectiveness.

Travel Requirements:
Yes

Estimated 15-20% of travel time primarily within Canada. Overnight and potential weekend travel will be required.

  • Writing/Reading: English, French

Qualifications/Education

:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications
  • MBA preferred
  • 35 years of overall marketing experience, including consumer, HCP, product marketing and/or brand management experience Ostomy Care experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent strategic marketing skills including experience in the development of medical device portfolio strategies, marketing plans and branding/marketing campaigns.
  • Strong marketing background, consumer marketing, and/or marketing to healthcare professionals. Required industry experience in healthcare, medical technologies, devices, and/or surgical equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written in both French and English.
    Role includes extensive writing and editing of marketing and training literature and collateral. Flawless copywriting/editing/reviewing in both languages is mandatory for this role.
