Position Summary:


The Graphic Design & Social Media Specialist is responsible for driving CGC's social media strategy as well as designing effective marketing and digital content.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this person will work cross-functionally to understand the stories we have to tell and thoughtfully curate these stories into the right platforms in the appropriate cadence.

Ultimately, through social media, this position assists in driving CGC's brand positioning, product recognition, and employee engagement.


Social Media Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for increasing the company's social media following and engagement, to increase our brand awareness, product recognition, corporate reputation, and employee engagement.
  • Working closely with aligned departments, help to shape the company's social media strategy and implement the strategy by working closely with internal stakeholders to curate stories on the right platforms.
  • Seek out, develop, and curate content appropriate to each social media and digital platform including Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, etc.
  • Plan, post, and maintain engaging content telling the company's story and confirming our reputation as the industry leader for customers, stakeholders, prospective employees, etc.
  • Elevate, respond, and resolve customer inquiries and employee questions/concerns raised in social media platforms, working closely with internal departments to ensure consistent responses and effective collaboration.
  • Monitor activity on social media sites and engage in a positive manner when needed.
  • Coordinate with various teams, with a focus on Marketing, Corporate Communications, and Human Resources, as well as engaging with the business units as needed.
  • Report on key social media statistics vs. benchmarks to help optimize engagement across platforms.

Graphic Design Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and designing marketing and digital content, including literature updates, website updates, and other marketing content (banners, sell sheets, merch design, etc.) in alignment with Marketing Communications and Product Management priorities.
  • Collaborates with Marketing Communications Manager, Product Management, and external Creative Marketing Agency on larger marketing efforts including promotions, advertisements, and campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Marketing, Communication, Design, Fine Arts or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in relevant role in social media and graphic design.
  • Junior to intermediate level graphic design skills.
  • Proficient experience using Adobe Creative Suite to design content (Photoshop + Illustrator).
  • Bilingual fluency, verbal and written, is preferred.
  • Proactive skills in locating and developing content within the company.
  • Proven record of successful previous social media campaigns. Experience posting content to Twitter, LinkedIn, FaceBook, Instagram, Pinterest.
  • Experience using social media platform tools like Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Sprout Social.
  • Ability to analyze customer data and develop actionable insights that will shape a marketing strategy.
  • Maintain brand integrity when collaborating with internal departments. Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • Excellent project management skills, including effective data gathering, timeline creation, and followup with internal teams.
  • Ability to rapidly learn, internalize and leverage product/campaign information.
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of people and develop strong relationships.
  • Able to multitask under time constraints, meet deadlines, and work within a fastpaced environment.
  • Must be organized, detailoriented and demonstrate an ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal. Direct communication style.
  • Selfstarter who is resourceful and a team player.
