We are currently seeking a motivated, reliable, and outgoing team player to join our Atlantic Canada team as a full-time Team Lead for our parking operations at the Nova Scotia Hospital and Dartmouth General Hospital sites.
WORK SCHEDULE:
The successful applicant will generally work Monday to Friday, from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm and/or 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Must be available to take part in a rotational call-back schedule, which involves responding after-hours/on weekends to critical equipment issues on site.
Call backs paid at a premium rate, and rotation is typically every 3rd weekend.Additional hours, or different shifts may occasionally be required as operations dictate.
Access to reliable transportation is required.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
OPERATIONS:
- Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of all aspects of the parking lots you are assigned to.
- Use foot patrols to patrol and inspect the parking areas to verify that equipment and lighting function properly, that cars circulate without problems, that there is a sufficient quantity of supplies necessary to the proper functioning of the parking lot.
- Completing minor equipment repairs as required, and minimizing any downtime to the parking operation.
- Clean all parking equipment and signage regularly.
- Enforce parking policies.
- Actively identify and correct any inefficiencies in the parking operation.
- Provide assistance to customers in the use of the automated parking equipment, recognizing and respecting the individual needs of each customer.
- Provide rest breaks to other staff.
ADMINISTRATION:
- Count, collect and deposit all parking revenues.
- Data entry and completing reports.
CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP:
- Build positive relationships with customers and the client.
- Note the nature of complaints received by customers, and actively help develop and suggest solutions.
- Communicate verbally with customers and clients in English.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service and supervisory experience.
- High level of interpersonal skills, including poise and diplomacy.
- Good communication skills, both verbally and written.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to customer service.
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs
- Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools for making repairs.
- Ability to supervise and delegate to staff.
Employment is conditional on passing a pre-employment screening, which includes a criminal record check.
