We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Data & Analytics Co-op to join our Data Science & Advanced Analytics team.

Our primary focus is to democratize data & insights throughout the organization and deliver analytic solutions that enable analysis and generation of insights that were not previously possible.

The position is an essential part of Oxford as you will have opportunity to develop world class data solutions and products.

The Co-op will be an integral member of Data Science & Analytics team and be responsible for a wide range of activities across the data and analytics lifecycle, including areas such as discovery, profiling, modeling, and testing.

You will have an opportunity to gain exposure to different facets of the business such as technology, leasing, operations, research, marketing and development.

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:
Leverage analytics and research to support the development of strategies and objectives by channel, business unit, and brands
Collect data on consumers, competitors, and marketplace; consolidate data into actionable insights
Responsible for extracting data from different sources, storing them and helping team to use it in most meaningful way
Work with different retail stakeholders to understand their needs and build dashboards, reports to help them achieve their goals
Explore, analyze, and derive insights from the data and build smart data products
Research on upcoming retail trends to help our shopping malls get ahead of the curve
Work with team to innovate and build reports, dashboards, and other data product to enhance decision making and daily operations across different retail assets
Conduct customer surveys to build customer profile, understand customer needs and sentiments
Build customer segments using machine learning techniques and identify the target customer segments for engagements
Build predictive models (Regression, Random Forest) to understand the financial health of the retailers
Build forecasting (ARIMA, Prophet) models to help optimize operations in the shopping malls

To succeed in this role, you:
Working towards completion of an undergraduate or post-graduate degree with a concentration in Business, Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or other quantitative disciplines
Strong knowledge of Power BI and Tableau
Working knowledge of GIS software like Arc GIS or open GIS packages like Kepler
Ability to querying databases, and basic knowledge of Python/R
Solid analytical skills and good understanding of underlying statistical concepts (distribution, sampling, hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, correlation, regression, probabilities)
Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a high level of attention to detail
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and accurately (both verbal and written)
Ability to meet tight deadlines and to manage conflicting priorities
Excellent interpersonal skills
