We are currently looking for a dedicated individual who wants to work in a progressive environment that cultivates personal and professional development.

Shift:
Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm.

Goals and Key Result Areas:


  • Perform fullcycle recruitment activities.
  • Complete new hire onboarding tasks to ensure a smooth transition for the new employee into Norquest Industries.
  • Execute employee retention duties to promote a positive and evolving company culture.
  • Provide feedback received from employees to Management, with a goal to improving/maintaining positive morale.

Responsibilities:


Recruitment:

  • Meet with Supervisors/Managers when notified of an open position to fill to identify their specific needs for the position, with a goal to improve the output of the prescreening process and to shorten the recruitment cycle for each position.
  • Post job vacancies
  • Review resumes
  • Schedule and sit in on interviews
  • Prepare interview question kits specific to roles
  • Prepare and send employment offers

Onboarding:

  • Create new hire orientation packages
  • Perform new hire orientations including ADP time and attendance training and WorkTango recognition program training.
  • Enter all hiring data into all HR systems and update as needed

Performance Management:

  • Prepare probation and annual review packages
  • Send reminders to Supervisors and Managers
  • Sit in on performance management meetings when needed
  • Prepare attendance reports for Supervisors and Managers when requested

Employee Engagement:

  • Conduct regular recurring "stay" interviews towards the goal of strengthening employee retention strategies.
  • Send out semiannual companywide employee satisfaction surveys
  • Communicate employee feedback to Senior Management
  • Send monthly RRSP/TFSA and Milestone anniversary letters to employees
  • Order Milestone anniversary gifts and schedule Milestone recognition meetings
  • Update Milestone rewards catalogue annually
  • Plan and coordinate HRrelated employee events
  • Ensure team building events are being planned according to our policy, and ensure the events are complying with budget and guidelines.
  • Respond to employee inquiries in a timely manner

Other:

  • Performs other duties as assigned by a Supervisor
  • Comply with all HSE, QMS, Corporate policies at Norquest

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma
  • Postsecondary education in Human Resources is considered an asset
  • 1+ year(s) of recruiting experience is an asset
  • High level of discretion, confidentiality, and diplomacy
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team

Work From Home Eligibility:1 day/week
