Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Respite Workers.

As a Respite Worker, you will provide temporary relief and support to caregivers of individuals with disabilities or special needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Provide care in home and in the community for a 14 year old boy during weekend hours. There are pets in the home so preferably a Provider without allergies. Care will be provided in the home, out of the home, and at recreational activities. Tutoring may be involved once there is a relationship. Child enjoys swimming, sports, cooking, and tv/movies.

Opportunity for additional clients through our company may be possible, but this child will be your primary client regardless.


Responsibilities:


  • Transportation of client
  • Offer companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients
  • Accompany clients to appointments or outings as needed
  • Follow care plans and strategies implemented by parents

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Drivers license
  • Male provider
  • First aid and CPR
  • Clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector check
  • Clear intervention check
  • Trauma awareness/training
  • Able to physically stop child from harming themselves/others if necessary
  • Experience with trauma
  • Experience with childcare
  • Experience with violent behaviours
  • Able to provide transportation
  • Willing to do activities such as swimming, bike riding and basketball

Benefits:


  • Vacation time accumulated at 4%
  • Pay begins at $25/hr

Salary:
$25.00 per hour


Expected hours:
No less than 5 per week
