Your role

Could you be the new fill-in host of a national music show on CBC Music? If you are passionate about music in all its diversity, comfortable behind a mic, and committed to staying connected with music news and trends, with your listeners and with your team, then this could be the ideal job for you.

CBC Music Reclaimed is looking for a dynamic and creative host who is immersed in Indigenous music from Canada and around the world.

At the CBC, we recognize that not everyone takes the same path when it comes to building their skills. We value diversity of thought and of experience, and we are excited to hear from you. Hands-on experience, intelligence, innovation, and a passion for music can combine to form the best set of qualifications.

Please note this is a part-time (two days a week) contract position for approximately three months. The show is pre-recorded, so there is flexibility around the scheduling of those two days.

Some of the traits that make you the right person for this role:

  • You have a deep interest in and knowledge of Indigenous music and culture and are a member of the Indigenous community.

  • You are very knowledgeable when it comes to music in general.
