Reporting to the Associate Administrator - Hogarth Riverview Manor, the Education Support Assistant works collaboratively with the Coordinator - Learning Success to coordinate the student placement program for Seniors' Health


Key responsibilities include:

welcoming and recognizing new learners to SJCG, promoting placement and employment opportunities and supporting the Associate Administrator - Hogarth Riverview Manor and the Administrator - Bethammi Nursing Home.


Qualifications:


Education/Experience:


  • Diploma or degree in human resources, business administration, education or related field
  • Experience in coordination of projects

Skills/Abilities:


  • Superior ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Superior ability to deliver presentations to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with agencies, academic institution officials, students, and coworkers
  • Strong project/time management, analytical/critical thinking, problemsolving skills
  • Proficiency with office computer equipment and various forms of software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated regular attendance at work

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Ability to travel to various work locations as required and provide own transportation

  • This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
