Type:
Academic English, Speaking, IELTS

Purpose:
Instructing ESL students in a warm and inviting environment

Responsibilities:

- plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that facilitate an active learning experience
- observe and evaluate student's performance and development
- lead class discussions, assign homework / presentations, and administer tests
- grade and evaluate students' performance on a daily basis
- engaging students of various levels to participate in group discussions / activities
- provide appropriate feedback on work (written and verbal)
- encourage and monitor the progress of individual students
- maintain accurate and complete student records

Qualifications / Education Requirements:

University degree
A completed TESL / TESOL or CELTA certificate recognized by TESL Canada
Experience teaching various levels of ESL students
Experience teaching ESL classes to adult learners
Experience with Zoom is an asset

Schedule:

Monday to Friday,
9am-1pm, 2pm-4pm.

Method of teaching:

Classes will be delivered in-person

There is a possibility that you can be assigned to multiple schedules if this works for you and the school (depending on your availability and experience).

Salary:
$ per hour

1 extra hour paid per week for administrative work for teachers working more than 20 hours.
