Viking Health Centre has an exciting opportunity for a Surgical Processor in their MDR Department.

Whether you live in Viking or the surrounding area, you will enjoy the rural agricultural setting of the Town of Viking, within Beaver County.

This community, within reach of larger centres is located south-east of Edmonton, Alberta on Highway 14 about 120 kms, truly is the picture of a rural Alberta town as it continues to grow and thrive.


Description:


As a Surgical Processor, you will be responsible for the decontamination, reassembly and sterilization of hospital supplies, equipment and surgical instrumentation.

You will use the principles of aseptic technique and follow Universal Precautions in the prevention of Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI).

You will ensure instrumentation and equipment is in proper working order, perform biological, chemical and quality assurance testing and report problems to the supervisor or designate.
