Our team is growing and we are looking for a talented baker & prep cook for a part-time role supporting our kitchen team.
This is an opportunity to work with a team in an inclusive, fun and positive environment.A new restaurant to Edmonton, Darling focuses on local ingredient-driven, globally inspired sharing plate dishes.
The baker is expected to support the head chef and sous chef in executing Darling's menu and cleanliness of the kitchen.
- Preparing and executing all baked items within a timely matter.
- Coordinating baking times in the oven with other prep items.
- Ensuring that all food and product is consistently prepared and served as per the restaurant recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
- Prepare a prep list
- Maintaining high morale, responding to conflicts calmly and efficiently
- Provide support to coworkers with various tasks including cooking, preparation and plating when time permits.
- Maintain holding and storage operations, stocking and food rotation, and guarantee food service sanitation standards are met.
- Ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines.
- Assist head chef and sous chef by making specials or staff meals when time permits.
- Receiving orders and products, ensuring to check quantity and quality.
- Helping with cleaning tasks on a daily basis of all kitchen areas.
Salary:
From $17.00 per hour
