Position Summary:

The assigned country/region for this incumbent will be Nigeria.

Onsite work will vary depending on operational needs. Currently, the team works onsite anywhere from 1-3 days per week. This may be increased as required.


Flexibility on work times will be needed due to the nature of international work and time zone differences based on the assigned country.

This is a 1-year contract position with the possibility of extension.


Responsibilities:


Digital Engagement Plan

  • Executes the Digital Engagement Plan with a focus on Digital Media Channels and ensures that Seneca encourages qualified international applicants to enrol in the different programs of Seneca.
  • Implements the Digital Engagement Plan (e.g., virtual events, converting the existing funnel applicants, leveraging knowledge to create targeted digital assets for the enhancement of user experience, building brand value and establishing Seneca as a preferred choice by channelling leads into conversion).
  • Assists and works collaboratively with MARCOM and other Seneca stakeholders in designing and producing appropriate materials which targets the regional language. Implements strategies and tactics aimed at improving the direct applicant's experience, providing messaging and materials that support engagement and funnel conversion and ultimately translates to effective digital marketing directed to growing the number of applicants and their conversion from a country or region.

Relationship Management

  • Manages followup with applicants in a timely manner through digital tactics that ensure optimum conversion rates and customer service. Tactics include conducting online webinars and a range of virtual meetings (in accordance with the time zones conducive to international markets) and managing community channels.
  • Supports and follows the direction of the Project Manager, Digital Recruitment in the provision of information and counselling of direct applicants regarding the Canadian international student visa process.
  • Potential involvement in the management of relations with other external stakeholders (students from countries outside of Nigeria, business partners) in collaboration with Regional Business Development Managers and other Seneca International team members.

Leadership

  • Ensures that the financial, human, and physical resources are used effectively, especially pertaining to fiscal responsibility when managing digital assets.

Metrics

  • Manages strategic market activities as it relates to the specific recruitment market.
  • Analyzes the results from student outreach activities.

Qualifications:


Education

  • Minimum completed a 4year degree in International Business/Marketing/Analytics or in a related field.

Experience

  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience working in the international education sector which require superior intercultural, interpersonal, and customer service skills to interact with diverse multicultural groups.
  • Experience with international student recruitment in Sub-Saharan Africa, preferably Nigeria.
  • Experience in postsecondary sector is an asset
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience living/working in Sub-Saharan Africa, preferably Nigeria.

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with a diverse student and staff population.
  • Technical knowledge of digital community platforms.
  • Knowledge in using Screen Recorder and Capture tools and video creation software is an asset.
  • Cultural competence and diplomacy skills.
  • Demonstrated problemsolving, organization, and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to develop innovative solutions and processes.
  • Proficiency in a widely spoken regional language in Nigeria.
