Your Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Manager of Events and Experiential Marketing to join our team on a 16-month contract and own the following responsibilities:

  • Successfully plan and execute in-person, virtual, and hybrid (virtual and in-person) events for internal and external audiences, including:
  • Intake of event briefs/requests
  • Research and develop recommendations for event ideas
  • Negotiate contracts as required
  • Run events on virtual platforms (i.e. Hopin, Microsoft Teams)
  • Troubleshooting of virtual event platforms
  • Meeting room setups and floor plan creation
  • Meeting audio visual requirements
  • Catering arrangements/menu selection
  • Event registration and execution
  • Dayof support to both virtual and inperson events
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on event ideas, project management, and execution
  • Develop and track key dates and milestones to meet deadlines and deliverables
  • Collaborate and work with crossfunctional teams to plan and execute events
  • Maintain and optimize standards, processes, procedures, and tools to support event planning and execution
  • Support for assigned events and provide support for other events as delegated by the team
  • Daytoday liaison with the internal event marketing team
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvements and enhancements based on data and research
  • Lead and support other projects related to events as required

Your experience and education

  • You have a postsecondary degree in events management or related field
  • You have 35 years of experience at a manager level in events, with direct experience of the entire event management process for both virtual and inperson events.
  • You have extensive knowledge of inperson and virtual event platforms. Knowledge of platforms such as Hopin, Microsoft Teams, LinkedIn Live, StreamYard would be an asset
  • You are creative, autonomous and selfstarting
  • You have strong project management skills (planning, scheduling, managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines)
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
  • You have exceptional interpersonal skills, a collaborative nature, with an ability to build strong relations with all levels of the firm and work in a crossteam environment
  • You have experience managing timelines and delivering on time
  • You thrive on teamwork, takes initiative, is resourceful, highly accountable and proactive
  • You are a calm, flexible and creative problem solver, including when faced with onsite modifications and issues
  • You have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Be able to travel to meetings and events in person in Canada (approximately 1525% of the time)
  • If you are bilingual (French and English), it will be considered an asset
