11 hours per day on a rotation of 6 weeks: 3 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks for rest.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Drilling and Blasting Supervisor, the driller will be required to primarily operate a down-the-hole hammer drill and will also be called upon to assist with blasting loading operations, as well as operate various machinery such as a Bobcat and/or small loader and dump trucks (CAT t).

He will perform the tasks according to the safety standards in place (SOP

- s, JSA, Road safety and HSE Safety Act Mine and Quarry);

He will perform the inspection of the equipment before and after his shift;
As required, he will perform all other tasks requested by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Must have a diploma of professional studies in drilling and blasting;
Minimum of 2 years experience as a driller;
Experience operating down the hole (DTH) drills;
Hold an explosive permit;
Know the safe operation of drills;
Have an acceptable level of experience on the operation of heavy equipment.

Assets

Certification cards;
Experience as a blaster helper;
Hold a valid driving license, class 1 an asset;
Bilingualism (French and functional English).
