    Overview

    We are seeking skilled truck drivers to join our Arrow family. Reporting to the Kamloops Division, our Drivers can reside and work in Armstrong, Salmon Arm, or Vernon.

    Responsibilities

    As an Arrow wood fibre driver, you are always close to home. Our drivers transport wood fibre locally in B train trailers, mainly consisting of wood chips, sawdust, and hogfuel. Travel on various highways in the Interior of BC like Hwy 1 - Coquihala, Hwy 5, and Hwy 97.

    • Supervise cargo handling and secure loads, including equipment prep, safe practices, compliance with applicable Acts and Regulations
    • Conduct pre, post, and en route trip inspections on equipment operated, ensuring safety, roadworthiness, and regulatory compliance
    • Abide by applicable legislation covering safe operation, load securement, driver's hours of service, health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, and weights/dimensions
    • Record, Maintain, and Review all relevant paperwork (e.g., bill of lading) and documentation for completeness and accuracy
    • Operate equipment such as truck cab computers, 2-way radios, and phones for necessary information exchange
    • Complete electronic logs of work hours and vehicle service/repair status
    • Ensure professional, respectful interaction with customers, co-workers, and the public

    You Possess

    • A positive demeanor
    • Class 1 truck driver's license
    • Driver's abstract free of suspensions
    • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
    • Minimum of two job references
    • B train experience beneficial
    • Mountain driving experience advantageous
