Are you RELIABLE and SELF-DRIVEN? Inflector is looking for demolition/asbestos abatement labourers for our valued clients to start as soon as possible

Shifts are generally daytime, can go into weekends depending on job demand

Work is in Amherst, NS and surrounding areas

As an Abatement/Demolition Labourer, your responsibilities will include:

-
Remove hazardous materials-containing building products from buildings in residential, commercial, industrial, institutional work sites
:

Install containment systems to effectively prepare for removals:

-
Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades:

-
Load, unload and transport construction materials:

-
Perform various selective interior demolition tasks:

-
Operate a range of equipment and machinery, including hand and power tools and specialized abatement machines to safely perform abatement and demolition work:

-
Safely remove hazardous waste materials from work sites, removing all rubble/debris, prepare and clean work sites and company equipment

Lift heavy materials up to 50 lbs:

-
Working at heights and confined spaces:

-
Work collaboratively within a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment:

Adhere to all health & safety policies and operating procedures set out by Inflector Environmental Services and follow all OH&S Regulations

Requirements:

Must be eligible to work in Canada:

CSA-approved steel-toed boots are required:

-
Able to perform physical work and work long hours:

-
Some travel within Ontario may be required:

-
Willing to work additional shifts outside regular hours as needed (night shifts/weekends):

Relevant experience as a construction or abatement labourer is preferred:

-
Highschool diploma, GED or equivalent preferred:

-
Valid driver's license is an asset:

-
Must be a reliable, motivated team-player

From $17.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 12 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Night shift
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability
