Description

Duties:

  • Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to determine the specifications and layout of brick structures
  • Measure and mark surfaces to be covered with bricks, using chalk lines, plumb bobs, or levels
  • Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto a slab or foundation
  • Lay bricks or other masonry units to build walls, arches, chimneys, or other structures
  • Cut or shape bricks, stones, or blocks using hand tools or power tools
  • Clean excess mortar from finished surfaces and polish them with sponges or trowels
  • Repair or replace damaged bricks or other masonry units

Skills:


  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plans
  • Strong knowledge of different types of bricks, stones, and other masonry materials
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively and safely
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in bricklaying techniques
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions
  • Good problemsolving skills to troubleshoot issues with brick structures

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$42.00 per hour


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • English not required

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Experience:


  • BRICKLAYER: 3 years (preferred)
