Job Summary
What is the opportunity?
What will you do?
- Support in LICAT quarterly capital reporting process and insurance stress testing (mainly FCT, EWST, and ORSA) as required. This usually include model runs, model improvements, data processing, and preliminary analysis of results.
- Provide technical support to the valuation teams as they complete actuarial reporting. This includes transitioning current processes from IFRS 4 to IFRS 1
- Gathering and analyzing relevant data from a variety of sources using multiple actuarial tools and techniques.
- Run AXIS model and complete all output checks/reconciliations to ensure results are reasonable.
- Assist in completing experience studies and assumption setting.
Must Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or Accounting, and actively pursuing a SOA designation
- 13 years of actuarial experience in pricing, valuation or product development
- Knowledge of GGY Axis and DataLink, MS Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
- Solid technical and analytical skills with strong problemsolving ability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly motivated selfstarter and team player
Nice-to-Have:
- Knowledge of Tableau, SQL and Python
- Understanding of IFRS 17 standard and LICAT.
