    Description
    The Sturgeon Public School Division, located in the town of Morinville, requires two (2) Summer Maintenance Workers for our Facilities Department.

    Reporting to the Facilities Foreman, duties include but are not limited to: grounds keeping, painting, shoveling sand/dirt, shop clean-up, sidewalk grinding, assisting trades people with projects, moving furniture and boxed goods, and other duties as required. Successful candidates must be capable of lifting 50lbs, be in good physical shape, and be comfortable working in a variety of conditions, including dust and noise.

    The term of employment is from May 21, 2024 to August 30, 2024. Hours of work are 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week.

    The successful candidate is required to have:

    Valid driver's license with clean abstract

    Related work experience

    Ability and experience operating:

    Riding lawn mower

    Push mower

    Backpack blower

    Weed whipper

    Rate of pay: $ $20.38 per hour, as per the General Employment Conditions

    All new employees to Sturgeon Public School Division are required to submit a recent (within six months), clear Criminal Record Check (from your local RCMP station) prior to commencement of employment.
