About the Role
Responsible for operating and maintaining the Mechatronics Machining and Testing Center (MMTC) that involves in-depth design and manufacturing of mechanical parts/templates/Jigs requested by MSE faculty, technical staff and students in research groups and instructional laboratories, including operating machinery such as manual and CNC milling and lathe, press drills, industrial metal cutting and forming tools, etc.
The manufacturing lab Engineer is responsible for providing demonstrations for safe use of equipment to the students before they start working in MMTC and closely monitor students' use of the equipment, ensuring highest safety measures for SFU personnel.
Provides manufacturing services to the School of Mechatronics Systems Engineering and other units within the Faculty and SFU.Full
