    ABOUT THE JOB

    Position: Server

    Terms of Employment: Part time and Full time. Candidates must be flexible and have the ability to work variable shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

    Job Duties:

    • Provide an outstanding dining experience for our patrons
    • Must have an extremely professional rapport with clientele, be well-spoken and easy to communicate with
    • Anticipate guest needs
    • Work well and closely with all other team members
    • Accurately record and enter all food and beverage items into POS system
    • Ensure tables are cleared and reset before a patron is seated
    • Must develop extensive knowledge of the menu to be able to comment on ingredients, suggest items and explain cooking techniques.
    • Must develop extensive knowledge of wine and liquor as well as any other beverages and techniques utilized by Alvin's Jazz Club
    • Address patrons appropriately when discussing their comments and concerns. Effectively communicate with Supervisors if a customer issue arises. Ensure clear and concise communication with the patron to ensure the issue is being resolved.
    • Follow all company policies and procedures

    Salary: From $15.00 per hour

    Must have Pro-serve certification and be at least 18 years of age. * Outgoing personality * Excellent interpersonal skills * Ability to communicate in a professional manner with clientele * Demonstrated experience in a fast paced, high volume restaurant is required
