Description
***: The Program Manager will work directly with customers in the fuel cell industry. They will be directly responsible for overseeing the development and installation of manufacturing industrial equipment used to produce fuel cell components such as plates, electrodes, and stack hardware. They will be developing product and equipment specifications, creating and maintaining schedules including milestone tracking, controlling budgets and cost for fuel cell high-volume manufacturing systems, and coordinating meetings with customers, as well as in-house designs and progress reviews. They will be responsible for the development of fuel cell component manufacturing equipment specifications for low and high-speed automation equipment. They must have personality and team-building skills for working across the extensive Matthew's organization with supporting disciplines necessary to deliver their programs from inception to completion. The program manager will also be expected to bring improvements to the company's equipment development programs working within the project management frameworks and working closely with the functional groups to improve the effectiveness of our program. This Program Manager will also be expected to develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Works with customers and construct product specifications and requirements.
  • Knowledge of fuel cell systems and understanding of their requirements.
  • Uses disciplined project management methodologies to define scope, develop program plans, and govern projects that deliver the program within cost and schedule.
  • Manages the critical deliverables, budgets, resource allocation plans, and other support requirements for the program
  • Leads the activities within the supporting project teams
  • Ensures that progress against established timelines is maintained and makes decisions based on analysis of business information to alter or update schedules and/or resource allocations, as appropriate
  • Identifies and monitors areas of risk
  • Manages internal and external stakeholder engagement and satisfaction
  • Adheres to the standards of project management methodologies and reporting techniques
  • Contributes to the improvement of internal frameworks and processes in support of the program
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of employee(s) to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished. Mentors, coaches, trains, and develops team.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business or related field
  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master's) preferred
  • 6+ years of previous project management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problemsolving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fastpaced and deadlineoriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
  • Selfmotivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
