Position Summary:


Responsibilities

  • Facilitate positive working relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Maintain efficiency & quality of billing process by ensuring customers' needs are responded to appropriately and within targets.
  • Reconcile work order data ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Complete invoices in the system and sent to the customer in the manner dictated by the customer
  • Update customer portals as required
  • Validate vendor invoices verify accuracy against PO and completed work order, approve for billing or escalate accordingly
  • Compile monthly billing packages including billing reports, invoices and the status of account receivables
  • Liaison with internal billing team to generate invoices ensuring that all time and expenses are billed in accordance with contract terms
  • Prepare work in progress reports for management
  • Processing, inputting, and finalizing prebills
  • Submitting high volumes of monthly final bills to clients
  • Monitoring and reviewing billing system for accurate client bill rates
  • Assisting with month end revenue, aging, and WIP reports

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of billing experience in professional services sector, including experience in project accounting and good understanding of revenue recognition principles
  • Knowledge and experience with JDE will be an asset
  • University or College degree in business and finance preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Word and advanced Excel proficiency to develop and prepare reports and project analysis
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload in a fastpaced environment with multiple deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to articulate and communicate in a clear, factbased manner, including relaying financial information to a nonfinancial audience
  • Strong attention to details is crucial for this role
