Marketing & Communications
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Manager of Marketing and Communications, the incumbent will be responsible for providing graphic services
Duties include:
performing graphic design tasks; establishing formats and production methods; scheduling and coordinating production; assisting in the development of standards; evaluating techniques and recommending improvements; acting as a resource to VPL staff on graphic design and related hardware and software, including developing and delivering training on the same; and performing other related duties.
Job Requirements:
Education/Qualifications/Experience:
Completion of Grade 12, supplemented by a diploma in computer based graphics, graphic design, commercial arts or photography plus sound experience in the graphics design function, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Considerable knowledge of graphic design, computer based graphics, and audio/visual presentation and other relevant presentation methods and techniques.
- Sound knowledge of departmental functions, objectives and procedures.
- Ability to perform graphic duties including illustration, layout, typesetting, and design of a variety of requested projects using both manual and computer graphic techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively with, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff.
- Ability to organize own work and meet deadlines and to schedule and coordinate production of material.
- Skill in the use of graphic and other required equipment.

Salary:
$34.23 to $40.29 per hour
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
