What you'll do:
- Be responsible for development, implementation, and maintenance of the sites' QMS to ensure compliance with all necessary GMP regulations, including Health Canada, FDA, and EU, are met;
- Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for the organization in close cooperation with the QA leaders;
- Iterate on processes to ensure they are able to be thoroughly followed;
- Ensure all Quality System instructions and procedures are kept up to date with the latest standards in medical devices;
- Develop training content and carry out training for the organization;
- Carry out various activities such as identifying and investigating nonconformities, document maintenance, equipment maintenance and calibration, etc;
- Raise compliance and quality issues and propose solutions to senior management;
- Provide mentorship and leadership in the quality department of a paradigmshifting medical device company;
- Help develop the required skill sets and competencies across the organization.
What you'll need:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Science/Engineering or a related field;
- More than 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Inventory Maintenance & Manufacturing Processes and standards is desired;
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices, or invitro diagnostics industry;
- Knowledge and understanding of quality, cGMPs, regulatory compliance intelligence, and latest quality and regulatory compliance trends;
- Certification in Six Sigma, Quality Improvement associate, quality auditor, and quality engineer or Completion of a college or university program in quality control, inventory control or equivalent education is preferred;
- Strong communication skills;
- An appreciation of puns.
