Description:

As a Health Care Aide (HCA), you are responsible for providing personal assistance, supporting activities of daily living and providing comfort and support services to patients (clients, residents) who require short-term assistance or ongoing support.

You will work closely with patients, families, and caregivers spanning the continuum of care in home, community or health care facilities.

You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) with Heart and Stroke Foundation. Valid Class 5 Driver's License (GDL license is not acceptable) and access to a reliable vehicle for business use.

Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position:

This position requires frequent physical demands including walking, bending, lifting, and standing and driving for long periods of time.

Transferring patients of varying sizes and degrees of mobility. Transporting supplies and equipment. Driving in all weather conditions. Basic computer skills knowledge of Outlook and MS Teams.


Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year experience within the last 5 years in a Home Care environment. Medication Assistance Certification.
