Job Description:
We currently have an opening for a
Project Manager in the
Buildings Group in our Vancouver office.
You will be joining a dynamic team in delivering linear and vertical infrastructure projects for a diverse clientele.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Providing a leadership role in the preparation of designs, cost estimates, specifications, and contract documents, as well as participating in scheduling, budgeting, tendering, contract administration, and inspection.
- Advancing projects through the concept, design, and construction phases; managing existing clients and subconsultants; and developing new clients.
- Delivering projects on budget and within identified schedules.
- Acting as the primary contact for all projectrelated client communications.
- Leading a multidisciplinary project team to undertake major building projects.
- Engaging in business development and leading & preparing technical and financial proposals as well as marketing material
- Mentoring and coaching a team of engineers and technologists.
- Engaging in a collaborative work environment with your team as well as other disciplines, other Groups and offices.
Job Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited postsecondary institution.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer with EGBC, or eligible for registration.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in Civil Engineering for public and private sector clients with a focus on the Buildings sector.
- Experience in working on BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure design & planning projects.
- Experience in working on
Alternative Delivery Projects:
Public Private Partnerships, Owners Engineer, CM at Risk, and Design Build is an asset.
- Registration with PMI and PMP designation are an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
- Proven project management and business development experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and schedules.
