Design Specialist - Junior

Main responsibilities

Design and integrate landing gear components, assemblies and systems to meet customer requirements;
Produce
engineering drawings, datasets and documents to support production design;
Identify component key characteristics;
Issue weight reports and calculate
components weight, moment of inertia, center of gravity, etc;
Administer
computer assisted design (CAD) systems and datasets
Help defining
test articles, test requirements and criteria for internal development and qualification testing;
Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

Technical degree in
mechanical engineering or equivalent and 2 years or less of relevant experience
Good understanding of
design methodologies
Good knowledge of
Catia V5 advance methods, kinematics, functional tolerance and annotation and drafting / interoperability is an asset.
Proficiency of
MS office suite;
Ability to provide analysis and advanced calculations;
Ability to solve
complex technical problems;
Ability to
work in a team and a client oriented environment.
