Sterling Crane has an exciting opportunity for a Working Shop Forman based in our location in Edmonton, AB.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with occasional overtime required and some travel to various site locations.

Sterling Crane has an exciting opportunity for a
Working Shop Forman based in our location in Edmonton, AB.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with occasional overtime required and some travel to various site locations.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reports to maintenance supervisor
  • Working foreman, this position will include troubleshooting, repairing, testing and inspection of equipment in Sterling Cranes Fleet.
  • Support Maintenance supervisor's daily toolbox talks
  • Sign technicians FLRA's and check for compliance / relevance to environment
  • Ensure technicians assignments are carried out, as per maintenance supervisors job plan
  • Looking up parts when required, front line vetting of required parts
  • Lead daily shop clean up
  • Secure facility at end of shift
  • Performance review semi annually
  • Monitor shop tools and equipment for regular maintenance and repairs
  • Keep diagnostic tool software updated and maintained
  • Willing to work overtime when necessary
  • Willing to take some afterhours calls

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of heavy equipment repair, maintenance experience
  • Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician
  • Exceptional supervisory and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Highly developed analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong time management skills while being responsible for multiple tasks
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Proven expertise and advance knowledge of inspection and repair techniques of heavy equipment. Specifically, mobile cranes.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Applications and FCC (Fleet Cost and Care) software.
